A health update. Also, England!
I’m technically suppose to avoid typing on my phone so I’ll try to keep this brief.
The bad news is that my carpal tunnel got worse so I went to a doctor who found out I have a B12 deficiency which likely contributed to all of this, and he also told me to take time off work for at least a month. So I’m currently on short term disability and I’m suppose to use the computer as little as possible. Playing with a controller is also bad…so very little games for me. About the only thing I can play is something motion-controlled (like a Kinect). I picked up Fable: The Journey for that reason but it’s tiring to play for more than an hour. So I’ve been watching Netflix. So much Netflix. I’ve been going a little stir-crazy from not being able to engage my brain, but I’m currently making my way through Bones which at least is somewhat scientific. I still wish I was at work instead, that’s how bored I’ve been getting. I don’t know how some people just watch TV all the time.
Anyways, the good news is that I’m currently in Toronto Airport, waiting for my flight that will take me to Dublin. Then it’s onto England where Lord Crumb will meet me and we’ll spend over 2 weeks together. I had booked this vacation shortly before this whole carpal tunnel fiasco happened and had non-refundable plane tickets…So that’s just the way things worked out. So until mid-November, I’ll be occupied with sight seeing, movie watching, and generally enjoying Lord Crumb’s company in person. I’ve actually been thankful that getting everything ready for this trip has been occupying me, not to mention I’m very excited to be going. I’ll have to post some pictures when I get back.
I’m still going to try to participate in Extra Life somehow. It might mean breaking it up over several days or using Lord Crumb as a surrogate gamer but I’ll do it somehow. Speaking of which, any donations towards Extra Live would be awesome, 100% of it goes towards Children’s Hospitals. There’s also a link to my fundraising page at the top of my blog.
I hope that everyone is having a good time gaming and that I’ll be joining back in sooner rather than later. Until next time, folks.
